Mystical, Magical
From the Unknown
The lights fall down
Only darkness can be shown
except for some sparkling
now sparkles have
ceased, here's
sunrise
I did this one about 4 years ago at school.
Everything has a past
Feel the water on your face
As it flows to leave no trace
That ever existed in your mind
Those things that one expects to find
Flowing, falling ever fast
The waterfall that everlasts
Now your body forever sleeping
Now my soul forever weeping
The mystery of forgotten lore
This has happened times before
So feel the water on your face
It swept you away and left no trace
For flowing, falling ever fast
The waterfall that has a past.
I did this one. after a friend of mine drowned.
Mourning too early; Cure too late
On a hill she waits to die
You can hear her spirit cry.
Off her face the tears stream down.
Her quiet sobs the only sound.
She knows she can't lose her hope,
not as she slides down this slope.
A slope that's rough and marked with pain.
With each new rut her spirits wane.
Experts do all they can, with meds. on paper etched in pen.
The cancer battle rages on.
Her parents hopes have long been gone.
They mourn a life not yet lost.
To them the bridge has been crossed.
They can't say how long she'll last.
Her time on earth is fading fast.
Every doctor knows her plight,
but there's no winning to this fight.
One will come but it's too late.
No cure for her. It's her fate.
This changeling girl looks at the sky.
and dreams of when she'll learn to fly.
This is a poem by a friend of mine last year.
Afterglow
I'd like the memory of me
to be a happy one,
I'd like to leave an afterglow
of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
of happy times and laughing
times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who
grieve, to dry before the sun
of happy memories that I leave
When life is done.
This was a poem done by a relative of mine at my grandpa's funeral.
